The First Edition of this book was released as a very special edition hand bound and handcrafted book. Only 7 copies were created, 6 were given to J.K. Rowling's personal friends. Huge sums were bid at open auction to buy the ultimate collectors edition. Amazon surprisingly paid an unbelievable sum of £1.95m (almost $4million!) at auction to own the book.
Now the general public will be able to own their own copy at a much more realistic price when the book is released for sale on the 8th December, just in time for all those christmas presents.
